Zettie Wolford, 94, a resident of Dry Fork, WV and recently a resident of Cortland Acres went to be with her Lord October 5, 2011.
She was born October 10, 1916 in Dry Fork a daughter of the late Okey Huffman and Luessa Wolford Huffman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wolford in 1965. Survivors include 1 son, Charles (Grace) Wolford, Dry Fork, WV, 2 daughters, Shirley (Wayne) Chenoweth and JoAnn Judy both of Elkins, WV, 1 son-in-law, Clair Chenoweth, Bridgeport, WV, 10 grandchildren, Barbie Brown, Tammy Elza, Doug and Stevie Wolford, Kim Tallman, Greg Chenoweth, Amy Chenoweth, Lisa Mullen, Chad Judy and Mike Judy, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, 1 sister, Martha Yeager, Dry Fork, WV and 1 special niece, Ruth Flanagan who she helped raise. Preceding her in death were 2 daughters, Betty Chenoweth and Juanita Wolford, 1 son, Roger Wolford, 1 son-in-law, Robert Judy, 2 brothers, June Wolford and Denzil Flanagan and 4 sisters, Strawdie Bonner, Hester Feathers, May Welch and Nancy Eye.
Mrs. Wolford was a member of Dry Fork Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed weaving, quilting, baking pies and picking huckleberries. Friends will be received on Friday October 7 at the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church from 4:00 until 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Sister Alice Davis and Rev. Ric Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in the Bonner-Wolford Cemetery.
