Woodrow Harvey

Woodrow Gordon “Gordie” Harvey, Jr., 78, of Elk Garden, WV died on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Garrett Regional Medical Center.  Born on July 30, 1939, in Vindex, he was the son of the late Helen (Tasker) Harvey Burrell and stepson of the late James A. Burrell.  He had worked for Bethlehem Steel, Sparrow’s Point in Baltimore.  Gordie was a member of the Elk Garden United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching old westerns and spending time with family, especially his great grandson.  He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Keplinger) Harvey; two sons, Michael “Mike” Harvey and wife Sandra and James T. Harvey and girlfriend Linda Perzinski, both of Baltimore; grandchildren, Michael G. Harvey, II and wife Theresa, Amanda D. Fletcher and husband James II, and Michelle K. Harvey and boyfriend Austin Moorehead; a great grandson, James E. Fletcher, III who shared a birthday with Gordie; and an aunt, Ruth Shaw of Westernport.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Love, Mona Hershberger and Margaret Rhodes.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Wednesday, February 28th from 5 to 8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Elk Garden United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 1st at 11 AM with Pastors Matthew Paugh and Mark Hickman officiating.  The family is requesting no flowers and in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Elk Garden United Methodist Church, c/o Patricia Harvey, 49 Strip Job Road, Mt.
