Wilma Paugh

Wilma Frances Paugh, 84, of Kitzmiller, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 14, 2012, surrounded by her family at Garrett Memorial Hospital in Oakland. Frances was born on June 24, 1927, in Vindex, the daughter of the late John A. and Della S. (Sharpless) Kent. Frances enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family. She always put others first. She was a faithful member of the Kitzmiller Assembly of God congregation. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Paugh and wife Diane of Kitzmiller, and David Paugh and wife Diane of Baltimore; four daughters, Rosalee Evans and husband Jim of Oakland, Shirley Sharpless of Kitzmiller, Joann Gregg and husband Larry of Kitzmiller, and Suzie Fike and husband Carl of Oakland; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward A (Ted) Paugh; two infant daughters, Norma and Ruby; two brothers, Ernest Kent and Lawrence Kent; three sisters, Rosetta Doman, Elsie Nelson, and Georgia Burton; and son-in-law, Gary Sharpless. Friends will be received at the David A Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St, Kitzmiller, on Monday, January 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 17, at 1:00 PM at the Kitzmiller Assembly of God Church with Rev. Matthew Paugh officiating assisted by Rev. Lee Robertson. Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Swanton. Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to Shalom is My Home, checks payable to Oak Park Church, 110 Church Ln., Oakland, MD 21550.
