William Zang

William Andrew Zang, Sr., 75, of Oakland, MD died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home in Grantsville. Bill was born December 19, 1936 in Oakland the son of the late Albert H. and Iva B. (Lewis) Zang. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from General Motors in Baltimore. Bill was a member of the Swallow Falls Dunkard Brethern Church. He loved spending time in the great outdoors. He is survived by a daughter, Debra M. Shannahan and husband Daniel of Baltimore; a son, William A. Zang, Jr. of Litchfield, IL; a sister, Phyllis Williams and husband Bill of Baltimore; also two granddaughters; a nephew, Neal Williams of Baltimore; and numerous cousins. Friends will be received at Swallow Falls Dunkard Bethern Church, Swallow Falls Road on Saturday, May 5 from 10:30 to 11 am at which time the funeral service will be held. Interment will follow in Taylor Sines Cemetery. The Burdock - Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. is entrusted with the arrangements.
