William Grant Likins, 79, of Oakland, died on Monday, July 15, 2019, at the Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 13, 1939, he was the son of the late Joseph Earl and Flossie (Brooks) Likins. Bill was a foreman for the State Roads Department. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family, hunting, fishing, and boating. He is survived by a son, Joe Likins and wife Kim; grandchildren, Jay Likins and wife Kristi, Scott Livengood and wife Kaylee, and Lindsey Livengood; two great granddaughters, Madi Livengood, EllieKay Likins and another on the way; a sister, Mary Evans; and best friend, Bill Kent, several nieces and nephews, and his loving neighbors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Mae (Thrasher) Likins on November 27, 2018; two sisters, Betty Fulk and Eva Kight and a brother, Loyal "Buff" Brooks. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Friday, July 19 2019, from 11 AM to 1 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oakland Nursing and Rehab, Activities Dept., 706 E Alder St., Oakland, MD 21550.
