William James "Bill" White, III, 84, of Kitzmiller, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland. Born on March 15, 1932, he was the son of the late William James, Jr. and Lula Pearl (Paugh) White. Bill was a barber and a school bus driver who was loved by many. He was a lifelong member of the Kitzmiller Volunteer Fire Department having given 56 years of service and was also a member of the Kitzmiller Lions Club and former mayor of Kitzmiller. He was also a musician who played a variety of string instruments. His love of bluegrass and gospel was a gift he passed down to his children. He led a full life; a life of love and adventures with trips to Florida which he greatly enjoyed. Bill will be missed by many and he leaves behind a legacy that cannot ever be matched. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carma R. (Bray) White; a son, W. James White, IV and wife Teresa of Kitzmiller; a daughter, Ruth Oliverio and husband Anthony of Oakland; grandchildren, Josh White, Stephanie White, Nicholas Oliverio and wife Krista, Anthony Oliverio, Katherine Oliverio, William James "Jamie" White, V and Elizabeth White and fiance Brett Sanders; and great grandchildren, Jimmy Browning, Jordyn Riggleman, Colton Browning, Justyn White, Karter Oliverio, Karlee Cash, Karson Oliverio, Weston Burrell, Domenick Glotfelty, Shelton White and Brantley White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Everett White, in 1999. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, November 2nd from 3 to 7 PM.
