William Scott Harsh, 48, of Eglon, West Virginia died on January 13, 2019 at his home. He was born July 26, 1970 in Oakland, Maryland, a son of the late Bobby Leroy Harsh and the surviving Carolyn Lucille Sell Harsh. He is survived by his wife Lyvonne Kaye Harsh, whom he married on May 2, 1992. Also surviving are two children, Megan (Fiancé Colin Fisher) Harsh and Evan Harsh, both of Eglon, West Virginia, one brother, Robert “Steven” (Tina) Harsh, Eglon, West Virginia, three sisters, Sue (Michael) Saunders, Mountain Lake Park, Maryland, Judy (Rodney) Stemple, Eglon, West Virginia, and Diane (Harlin) Wolfe, Eglon, West Virginia, numerous nieces and nephews, and “man’s best friend” his dog, Raz.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jeff Harsh and father-in-law, Marvin Harsh.
Scott worked in the construction industry for 17 years. He then bought the family farm in 2003. He constructed the dairy facility and they have milked since 2008. He enjoyed spending time visiting with other farmers and took great pride in taking care of his farm. He loved spending time in the woods, hunting with his family.
Friends will be received at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Wednesday, January 16 from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Thursday, January 17, at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, friends will be welcomed from 12 noon – 1:00 pm with funeral services being held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Shaun Roberts officiating.
