Willard Ralph Ringer, 95, of Oakland died on Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home. Born on October 9, 1918 in Oakland, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ruie Fern (Sanders) Ringer. He retired as superintendent of the Oakland Water Department. Mr. Ringer had also been a member of the Corinth United Methodist Church and served as a member of the Oakland Town Council for fifteen years. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed hunting and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Clarice Glendine (Lewis) Ringer; children, JoAnn Fazenbaker of Oakland, Robert Ringer and wife Linda of Twinsburg, OH, and Linda Roy and husband Jim of Weston, WV; grandchildren, Mike Fazenbaker and wife Amy, Karin McCoy and husband Dan, Katie Bach and husband Cory, Amy Roy Summers, Angie Corrigan and husband Jay, and Justin Roy; great grandchildren, Peyton Fazenbaker, Allison Bach, Spencer Bach, Chloe McCoy, Emma McCoy, Tyler Summers, Audrey Corrigan and Ava Corrigan; and a sister, Thelma Ringer Lewis of Oakland. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, December 22nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 23rd at 11 AM with Rev. Eric Beeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
