Wesley Warren Blum, 84, of Swanton died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Oakland Nursing & Rehab Center of Oakland, MD. Born March 1, 1928 in Gormania, WV, he was the son of the late Warren Bryan and Stasha Justina (Hawk) Blum. Wesley owned and operated Blum Auto Service. He loved to play cards, be it Texas Hold 'Em or five card draw, and enjoyed spending time fishing. He is survived by three daughters, Vicki Cassell and husband Dave, Judy Ervin and husband Victor and Michelle Lee; a son, Kevin Blum and wife Joni; eight grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Briggs, Kimberly Jackson, Randy Ervin, Kelly Cassell, Christopher Cassell, Vicki Kight, Gabriel Savage and Stasha Blum; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Raymond and Lowell; two sisters, Pauline Miller and Shirley Moore; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, in 1998, by his wife, Blanche W. (DeVelbiss) Blum whom he married in 1946; and a brother, Paul. Friends will be received on Sunday, April 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the BURDOCK-FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 30th with the Pastor Dave Marsh officiating. Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
