Walter "Buck" Kitzmiller

Walter "Buck" Kitzmiller, 76, of Mount Storm, passed away on May 3, 2024. Born on January 17, 1948, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Donald Eugene and Norma Colleen (Hanlin) Kitzmiller.

Buck was a graduate of Bayard High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a coal miner for Metikki Coal Mines. He was a member of the Mount Storm United Methodist Church. Buck enjoyed spending time outdoors; going hunting and fishing were among his favorites. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Sue (Dragovich) Kitzmiller; four children, Timothy Dragovich and wife Nancy, Robert Kitzmiller and wife Dora, Melissa Dent and husband Lee, and David Kitzmiller and wife Crystal; eleven grandchildren, Cody Dragovich, Elyssa Harvey and husband Courtney, Sabrina Hinebaugh, Daniel Miller, Cedric Mock, Bryce Kitzmiller, Andrew Dragovich, Travis Kitzmiller, Lena Dragovich, Jacob Dent, and Dalton Dent; and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Kitzmiller.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM, at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 11 AM, in the funeral home, with Pastor Christine Kuhn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Storm Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
