Virginia Mae Lewis, 84 of Oakland, MD died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital
Born March 18, 1925 in Licenring, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Margaret (Lyons) Hinebaugh. She was also preceded in death by her husband Stanley Burl Lewis.
Mrs. Lewis worked as a cook in the cafeterias of the Garrett County School System, and was a member of Crellin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, Lonnie B. Lewis and wife Karen of Crellin; two daughters, Beverly Ann Lewis of Oakland, Kathy Lynn Cuppett of Kingwood, WV; one sister, Judy Martin of Crellin; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Friend & husband Dan of Oakland, Jamie Lewis & wife Rhonda of Oakland, Kyle & Corey Cuppett of Kingwood, WV; and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 30, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Robinette & Pastor Dennis Leatherman officiating. The interment will be held privately at Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial donations, in her name, to the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad.
