Virginia Johnson

Virginia Irene Johnson, 86, of Canaan Valley, West Virginia passed away February 8th, 2019 at Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center. She was born July 5, 1932 in Canaan Valley, West Virginia a daughter of the late Russell Samuel and Christine Heitz Harman.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Reginald Leon Johnson, whom she married on January 14, 1952. Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Roberta) Johnson and Steven Johnson, one brother, Samuel Harman, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Harman.

Mrs. Johnson worked for a veterinarian office as an office manager for several years. Her passion for animals followed her home as she offered dog grooming in her spare time. She was known for her wonderful stained glass creations and collection of antiques and collectibles.

At the request of Mrs. Johnson, she was cremated. Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Saturday, February 23, from 1:00 pm -4:00 pm for a time of sharing and reminiscing with the family.
