Virginia Hesson

Virginia (Ginny) C. Hesson, 93, Grantsville, died peacefully on 2/16/11 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
Born November 30, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mildred and Murray Arthur Coleman. She was preceded in death by her husband , Robert E. Hesson; Son, Robert C. Hesson; infant daughter , Francis Kathleen Hesson; five brothers, Robert, Raymond, Otts, Carroll, and Earl Coleman; and one great- grandson, Noah Bernard.
After high school, she completed training to be a Licensed Pratical Nurse, at South Baltimore General Hospital. However, she spent most of her life as a housewife, and enjoyed making homemade dresses and dolls for her grandchildren.
She valued her close friendships, many of which spanned decades. She was known for her baking and beautiful knitting and crocheting. She blessed many people through the years with her homemade creations.
She is survived by three grandchildren; Heather Hanline, and her husband Pat, Julianne Spiker, and Jennie Hesson, and nine great-grandchildren; Zack, Brandon, Madelynn and Alex Hanline, Kadie Simpson and Adrianne Spiker; Elias Meyers, and Reagan and Rayce Bernard.
At he request, no viewing or funeral service will be held. Interment will be in the PleasantValley Cemetery, Oakland, Maryland.
