Virginia Cummings

March 23, 1930 — July 29, 2013

Virginia "Boots" Olive Cummings, 83, of Oakland went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Born on March 23, 1930 in Boswell, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hansie and Olive (Bailey) Baker. She was a service station owner and a former employee of First United Bank and Trust. Virginia loved to make rag rugs and shop at yard sales. She is survived by her son, Glenn Skipper and wife Cheryl of Aurora, WV; two grandchildren, Denton Andrew Skipper and Melissa Lynn Creamer; a great grandchild, Garrick Easton Creamer; a brother, Robert Baker of Oakland; a sister, Evelyn Nazelrod of Martinsburg, WV; and a special niece, Nancy Moore of Martinsburg, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David Skipper and her second husband, Alonza Cummings; and a brother, Don Baker. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, August 1st from 5 to 8 PM and at the Lakeside Assembly of God, 18012 Garrett Hwy., Oakland on Friday, August 2nd from Noon to 1 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Dennis Caton officiating. Interment will be in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
