Viola Harvey

Viola M. Harvey, 94, of Swanton, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Garrett Regional Medical Center.  Born on May 14, 1924 in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Addie (Paugh) Sharpless.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles W. Harvey; a son, Donald W. Harvey; a grandson, Jeffrey W. Harvey; a sister, Mary Sharpless and three brothers, Charles, Clarence and Gilbert Sharpless.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Viola is survived by her son, Ronald Harvey of Swanton, two daughters, Dorothy Nice of Oakland and Robin Taylor and husband Allan of Swanton; six grandchildren, Doug Harvey of San Leandro, CA, Rhonda Finch and husband Pat of Swanton, Jason Nice and wife Christina of Imperial, PA, Curt Taylor and wife Ashley of Kitzmiller, Drew Taylor and Derek Taylor, both of Swanton; nine great grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Harvey, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Cody Harvey, Joseph Zirlott and wife JoAnna, Earl Zirlott, Thomas Finch, Austin Friend, Abigail Nice, Adalynn and Grayson Taylor; and five great-great grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Harvey, III, Scarlett Zirlott, and Katherine, Megan and Zoe Zirlott.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2ndSt., Oakland on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 5-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11 AM at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara K. Rexroad officiating.  Interment will be held in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
