Victoria Sharpless

Victoria E. "Nellie" (Harvey) Sharpless, 91 of Oakland, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at her home.
Born June 1, 1919 in Mt. Zion, MD, she was the daughter of the late Meshac and Lucretia (Tichinel) Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle H. Sharpless.
Nellie was a homemaker.
Surviving are: daughters-JoAnn Bernard and husband Bob and Jean Spencer and husband, Carl, both of Oakland, MD; grandchildren-Patti, Bobby, Todd and Jeff; great-grandchildren-Zachary, Danielle, Kennadi, Reagan, Alex, Morgan, Faith and Grace and special nieces and nephews.
"Granny" was the center of our family. She will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St, Oakland, MD, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holcomb And Dennis Caton officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
