Turner William Ashby, 20, was surrounded by family and pets at his home on August 29, 2018, when he was freed from the burden of his battle with cancer. He is now at peace. Turner entered this world on October 4, 1997, in Frederick, MD, born to William "Bill" and Tammy Ashby. He is survived by his father, Bill Ashby with Teresa Larkin of Swanton, MD; his mother, Tammy Ashby with Jim Sines of Oakland, MD; his sister, Lora Ashby and her fiancee Jeffrey Gregory of Oakland, MD; his sister, Sara Gibbons and her husband Mike Gibbons of Oakland, MD; and his brother, Thomas Ashby with Victoria Friend of Oakland, MD. He is also survived by his grandmother, Dorothy Police, of Clarksburg, WV; his great aunt, Maeomia "Poochie" Wadsworth of Elkins, WV, his aunts and uncles, Steve and Linda Ashby, Tarentum, PA, Jim and Joanne Ashby, Mtn. Lake Park, MD, and Mark and Audrey Ashby, Fairfax, VA, and his many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Harold and Martha Lou Ashby of Oakland, MD and his grandfather, Argel Ash of Elkins, WV. Turner loved his music and the outdoors. He was a gentle and talented spirit that brought a smile to everyone he met. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. As Turner wished, a celebration of life ceremony will be held outdoors in the pavilion at Swallow Falls State Park, where he loved to be, on his birthday, October 4, 2018 at 5 PM.
