Troy Ashby

Troy Allen Ashby, 43, of Keyser, WV died on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born on June 3, 1970 in Oakland, he was the son of Allen D. "Butch" and Doris J. (Friend) Ashby of Terra Alta. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the L.O.O.M #1395 in Terra Alta, the Orioles Club in Keyser and a social member of the Deer Park VFW Post #10077. Troy was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan and enjoyed horse shoes, camping, playing pool, poker, dancing and floating down the river. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Jessica Lyons; children, Nicole Satin Ashby, Teroy Allen Friend, Victoria Jean Friend, Tabitha Paige Friend, Gage Ray Dale Ashby and Alexis Lyons; sisters, Tammy Donaldson and husband James "Mike", Lacey Ashby and companion Walter Baker and Tiffany Bowman and husband Samuel; a nephew, Chad Allen Donaldson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Joshua Michael Donaldson. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, August 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 10 AM in the Loch Lynn Church of God, 8649 Gorman Rd, Loch Lynn with Pastor Billy Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Ashby Cemetery, Crellin.
