Tony D. Sullivan, Sr., 86, of Deer Park, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Garrett Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 31, 1932 in Blaine, WV, he was the son of the late Tony and Fannie (DeWalt) Sullivan. Tony was a millwrite at the Westvaco paper mill and retired after 26 1/2 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force at Lackland Base in San Antonio, TX. He continued his service in the Oakland Armory Reserve. He then moved his service to the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg, WV as an aircraft technician supervisor for ground support unit for the C-130 Hercules and C-5 Galaxy aircrafts. He retired as a Staff Sergeant with a Commemorative Service Meal. Tony is survived by his adoring wife of 66 years, Catherine (Gardner) Sullivan; two sons, Steven Craig Sullivan of Iola, TX, Dean Sullivan and wife Sharon, Mt. Lake Park, MD; a daughter-in-law, Doris Sullivan of Amboy, WV; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Cerrito and son, Tony “Casey” Sullivan, Jr. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10 AM with the Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. Honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force, Proctor-Kildow American Legion Post #71 and the Deer Park VFW Post #10077. www.csfredlockfh.com
