Toni Lynn (Beckman) Knapp, age 71 of Oakland, MD went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD.
Born May 6, 1949 in Oakland, MD; She was a daughter of the late Delton Cleveland “Bronc” and Evelyn Lucille (Switzer) Beckman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Cleveland Beckman, one sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Beckman and one infant grandson, Nicholas James Knapp.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald James Knapp Sr., one daughter, Tracy (Elmer) Moreland of Gormania, WV three sons, Donald Jr. (Malinda) of Bayard, WV, Mark (Angie) of Bayard, WV, and Dustyn of Bayard, WV, four grandchildren, Marcus Knapp, Bridgette Knapp, Laticia and Patience Moreland, one great-grandson, Landyn Knapp, two brothers, Gary G. Beckman Sr. of Oakland, MD, Danny C. (Brenda) Beckman of Oakland, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Toni worked several jobs over the years and was an avid homemaker. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, camping, and family cookouts; she loved spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren grow and play sports. She was very active volunteering with the Mt. Grove and Bayard Fire Departments’ fundraisers when she was able to do so. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Red House, MD.
Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Sunday, July 26, from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, July 27 at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Jefferies officiating. A private interment will be held at Memorial Gardens in Oakland, MD. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Due to the current health concerns, face masks and coverings are suggested and guests are asked to please observe all social distancing guidelines.
