Todd Whitacre

Todd Allen Whitacre, 47, of Kitzmiller died on Saturday, May 28, 2016, in West Virginia. Born on March 26, 1969 in Oakland, he was the son of Kenneth "Ray" Whitacre of Kitzmiller and the late Judith Ilene (Harvey) Whitacre. He worked as a miner for Wilson Creek Coal Company in Grantsville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler. He especially loved spending time with family and friends and being a "Poppy." In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Susan Lynn (Tasker) Whitacre; son and daughter, Tyler Allen Whitacre and Ashley Lynn Whitacre; stepdaughter, Amber Nicole Greaser-Begley and husband Chris; grandchildren, the apples of Poppy's eyes, Ava Jane Felix and Aliyah Grace Bircher, step grandchildren, Mary Ruth and Harrison Begley, and little buddies, Chandler and Tallon; brothers, William "Bill" Whitacre and wife Tammy and Steve Whitacre and wife Sandy; a sister, Lori Whitacre-Stieringer and husband Chip; nieces and nephews, Billy Bryant and wife Sofia, Christopher and Elyana Whitacre, Corey, Brandon and Connor Stieringer, David, JT and McKenzie Tasker, Nick Greaser, Josh and Angel DeWitt, and Kerri and Katie Kordyban; as well as his best friend, Craver, and a lot of friends from the coal mines including WT, Coop and many more. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Wednesday, June 1st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and at the Hi-Way Assembly of God, 3634 Kitzmiller Rd. on Thursday, June 2nd from 11 AM to 12 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Joe Tichinel officiating. Interment will follow in the Deer Park Cemetery.
