Timothy Tasker

Timothy Andrew Tasker, 52, of Oakland died on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on March 13, 1960 in Oakland, he was the son of Robert A. Tasker of Oakland and the late Maxine L. (Cooper) Tasker. He was a graduate of Southern High School class of 1978. Tim was a truck driver having worked for Island Creek Coal Co., R & R Trucking and, most recently, for Savage Industries. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, tinkering with cars and watching Nascar. In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife, Doris M. (Steyer) Tasker; two stepdaughters, Wendy Miller of Oakland and Melanie Miller of Terra Alta, WV; five grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob and Nathan Sweitzer and Jesse and Brianna Graham; a sister Sandra Tasker-Jemison and husband Tom of Nixa, MO; two brothers, Bob Tasker and wife Edith of Oakland and Delmas Tasker and wife Barb of Grantsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Burdock - Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, September 17th from 5 to 7 P.M. at which time a memorial service will be held with Rev. Barbara Rexroad officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550.
