Timothy Hardesty

Timothy Jay Hardesty, 55, of Oakland died on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on February 23, 1960 in Waynesburg, PA, he was the son of the late Boyd and Thelma Rosalie (Bowser) Hardesty and Regina Sue O'Brien of Oakland. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Maryland State Highway Administration with 33 years of service during which time he was a union member and the Quality Circle. In his younger years, he had worked for Herrington Manor State Park. In addition to spending time with his family, Tim loved summertime and especially enjoyed gardening and mowing the lawn. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Hardesty; beloved daughter, Ashley Ann Gregg and husband Aaron of Oakland; sisters, Rita Shillingburg and husband Carlton Wayne of Oakland, Nancy Bernard and husband Alvin of Swanton, Victoria Wolfe and husband Kenneth of Brownsville, PA and Jennifer Dirtling of Martinsburg, WV; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and several close family friends. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, June 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Crellin Assembly of God on Friday, June 19th at 10 AM with Pastors Matthew Paugh and Tim Miller officiating.
