Thomas Vance, Jr

Thomas Kelly Vance, Jr., 65, of Oakland died on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on August 16, 1951, in Bayard, WV, he was the son of Madge L. (Liller) Vance of Oakland and the late Thomas Kelly Vance, Sr. He had worked in the family business, Kelly's Appliance & Furniture Store, for many years until it was sold. In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Shawn Vance of Oakland, Sara Gardner of Mt. Lake Park, Rachel Delaney of Eglon, WV, and Adam Vance of Swanton; three sisters, Pat Reall, Carol Calhoun and Sue Sheltra; a brother, Mike Vance; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Josh Reeves and a brother, Jim Vance. At Tom's request he was cremated and the family held a private memorial service in celebration of his life. Burial was in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. The C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., Oakland assisted the family with arrangements.
