Thomas Hickey

Thomas Marsh Hickey, 80, of Oakland died on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Dennett Road Manor. Born on May 29, 1937, in Elk Garden, WV, he was the son of the late John Marsh and Edith Loretta (Miller) Hickey. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Dominion, Mt. Storm Plant. He loved camping, spending time with his family and will be deeply missed. He is survived by two daughters, Patty Smith and husband Doug and Tammy Welling and husband Bill, both of Oakland; three granddaughters, Tabitha Dunithan, Mindy Bernard and Kylie Smith; a grandson, Marshall Smith; two great grandsons, Levi and Liam Bernard; sisters, Evelyn Grapes, Rosemary Citarelli, Charlotte Cook, Alma "Polly" Frazier, Helen "Mickey" Markle and Ellen Broadwater; brothers, John, Joseph, Kevin, and Kenneth Hickey; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, M. Jane (Knox) Hickey, in 2003; sisters, Naomi Rinard and Barbara Hickey; and a brother, Robert Hickey. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, April 5th from 5 to 8 PM and on Friday, April 6th from 10 to 11 AM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Russell Liller officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
