Thomas Franklin Gordon, 72, of Bayard, passed away at his home on February 10, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on April 29, 1952, in Oakland, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Madaline (Simmons) Gordon.
Frank attended Southern High School, joined the United States Army in 1970, and on February 12, 1972, married the love of his life and was just shy of celebrating their 53rd anniversary. He worked as a welder, and liked to attend online services at Anchor Church in Friendsville, MD. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, but his most precious time spent was with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Louise (Delaney) Gordon; children, Amy Johnson and husband Marshall of Wardensville, John Gordon and fiancée Ashley Anderson of Bayard, and Richard Gordon and wife Brittany of Wardensville; grandchildren, Alisa Hahn and husband Matthew, Autumn Gordon, Summer Coddington and husband Larry, Hannah Williams and husband Seth, Liberty Gordon, Kirsten Johnson, Diana Gordon, Myla Gordon, Thomas Gordon, and Lena Gordon; ten great grandchildren; one goddaughter, Shannon Hatzigeorgalis; many nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Melinda Smith and husband Leonard, and Belinda Wilson.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Ryan Wilt, and three siblings, Linda Bosley, Debra Slaubaugh and David Richard Gordon.
Friends will be received at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Ave., Davis, WV on Saturday February 15, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diana Gordon.
