Thomas William Gauger, Sr., 86, of Oakland and formerly of Baltimore died on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at home. Born on October 11, 1930, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Paul and Catherine (Schwallenberg) Gauger. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War and had been a truck driver for the Baltimore Sun. Tom was a member of the Deer Park VFW Post #10077, American Legion Post #71 in Oakland and was an active retiree with the Anne Arundel Alarmers in Ferndale. He enjoyed puzzle books and watching WWE wrestling. He is survived by children, Kathleen Morse and husband Robert and Eric Trent Gauger; grandchildren, Melissa Uhl, Mikey and Katie Uhl, Brittany Kesner and BJ Kesner; great grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Tavon, Noah and Jayden Bailey, Kandance Kesner, Brielle and Daylen Smith, and Kinsley Uhl; siblings, Sue and Will Williamson of Columbia, Maggie and Lou Thompson of Baltimore, Sue and Lou Milan of Glen Burnie; and a sister in law, Dietz Gauger of Glen Burnie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lee (Riley) Gauger, and siblings, Barney Gauger, Catherine Dickson and Paul "Dukey" Gauger, Jr. Interment services will be held in the Crownsville Veteran's Cemetery.
