Thomas Dale

Thomas Robert “Tommy” Dale, 78, of Elk Garden, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his residence.  Born on June 16, 1939 in Barton, WV, he was the son of the late Clifford and Donna (Bray) Welch.   He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic on B-52 airplanes.  Thomas was a hard-working industrious man and he could do a little bit of everything.   He was known to be a jack of all trades and a collector of many things.  He was the owner of Dale’s General Store in Elk Garden.   Thomas had a generous spirit and tried to help those in his community as he could.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was quite fond of all his grandchildren.  Thomas is survived  by his children, Dale Ann Tuel and husband Richard of Elk Garden, Stephen F. Dale and wife Lisa of Carlisle, PA, Thomas B. Dale and wife Sally Ann of Mt. Storm and James R. Dale and wife Suzanne of Baltimore; grandchildren, Jeff Tuel and wife Stephanie, Zachary Dale and wife Emily, Alyssa Dale, Laci Dale, Caleb Dale, Elias Dale, Logan Dale, Jazlyn Dale, Aidan Dale, Lydia Dale, Claire Dale, Ivan Dale, Annabelle Dale and Jackson Dale; seven great grandchildren; and his companion, Tammy Paugh.  Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8PM.  A funeral service will be held at Nethken Hill United Methodist Church on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11AM with Rev. Mark Hickman officiating.  Interment will be in I.O.O.F  Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Tammy Paugh for her loving care and devotion to Thomas.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Elk Garden Assembly of God Ladies Auxiliary.  Condolences for the family may be made at www.csfredlockfh.com.
