Thelma Sheeler

Thelma C. (Shepard) Sheeler, 86, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away at Paoli Hospital on February 1, 2022. Born August 13, 1935, in Gleason, WV, the daughter of the late Thomas and Virgie Shepard.

A graduate of Mountaineer High School, Thelma was a wonderful homemaker, who over the years also worked for Hallmark Stores, selling their cards. She was an avid baker who loved baking cakes and fudge. She always had fresh baked goods at her home and was known for abundantly handing them out to her family and friends. She loved traveling, especially her trip through Asia. Most of all though, she loved her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her three sons, William Sheeler and wife Debra, Jefferson, GA, Kenneth Sheeler, Austin, TX, Kevin Sheeler and wife Theresa, Pheonixville, PA; four grandchildren, Jon and Caleb Sheeler, Hannah Garner and Joseph Sheeler; two great grandchildren, Jacob Finley Sheeler and Amelia Garner; three brothers, Sam Shepard, Jerry Shepard and Bernard Shepard; two sisters, Betty Woods and Barbara Parsons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Sheeler Sr., on April 30, 1955. Also preceding her in death are one son, Robert Sheeler, Jr.; one brother, Jake Shepard; two sisters, Mabel Shepard and Janet Jones.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm with Father Smay officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family at this time.
