Terry Lane Stemple, 54, of Oakland died on Monday, September 3, 2012 at home. Born on November 29, 1957 in Oakland, he was the son of Della Mae (Thomas) Stemple of Oakland and the late Clarence W. Stemple, Sr. He was a member of the Army National Guard of Maryland and worked as a flagman for the State Highway Administration. He loved his old cars and John Deere tractors. In addition to his mother, he is survived by siblings, Earl Thomas and wife Sandy of Oakland, Bobby Stemple, Johnny Stemple, Judy Broadwater and husband Allan of Oakland, Connie Kirkham and husband Robert of McHenry, Clarence W. Stemple, Jr. and wife Annie of Oakland, William Stemple and wife Missy of Oakland and Brent Stemple and wife Rebecca of Oakland; and a number of nieces, nephews, step-nieces, step-nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, September 6th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 7th at 11 AM with Rev. Jimmy Bentley officiating. Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens with military honors.
