Susan Butt

Susan Ellen Butt, age 93, of Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on July 22, 1927 in Brownsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Beckman.

Susan was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
​
She is survived by two sons, David Butt and Allen Butt of Oakland; grandchildren, Sheila King and husband Brian of Oakland, Tammy Tichinel and husband Daniel of Oakland; great grandchildren, Bryanna King of Tampa, FL, Brooke Butt, Lynsey King, Sydney Tichinel, Rachael Tichinel and Daniel Tichinel, all of Oakland; two brothers, Harold Beckman and wife Cookie of Keyser, Harry Beckman of Hampstead.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Samuel E. Butt, Jr. in March 2020; four sisters, Ruth Rhodes, Helen Bittinger, Mary Savage, Beula Dean; and one brother, Milford Beckman.
​
All funeral services will be private.
