Steven Taylor

Steven Lee Taylor, 58, of Oakland, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on August 21, 1964, in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Robert "Bob" Russel Taylor and Shirley (Henry) Taylor.

Steven graduated from Bruce High School and then obtained his associate's degree at Allegany College of Maryland. He later graduated with a bachelors in Management Information Systems from Kennedy-Western University. Steven pursued a career as an IT specialist and worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. Steven was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed coaching youth sports and cooking.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Greta (Younkin) Taylor; two children, Keeton Russel Taylor of Morgantown, WV and Kaden Mark Taylor of Oakland; a step mother, Lois Taylor; a sibling, Robert "Bob" J. Taylor and wife Heather of Moorefield, WV; a mother-in-law, Linda (Shank) Riley; a brother-in-law, Mark Younkin; a step sister, Stacy Metz and husband Chris; two nieces, Shaina Massi and Kaelyn Taylor; and three great nieces.

In accordance with Steven's wishes, he was cremated and no services will be held.
