Stephen R. Wolford, 38, of Chesterfield, VA, and formerly of Dry Fork, WV, died on January 8, 2016, at 8:36 p.m. in Chesterfield, VA, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on June 4, 1977, in Elkins, WV. Steve graduated from Harman School with the class of 1995. He was currently employed with ­­­­­­­­­­­Morris Industries as a welder in Powhatin, VA. He enjoyed welding, camping and 4 wheeling with his jeep, hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends. Steve is survived by his wife, Melody Cheuvront, his beloved dog “Sallie”, his parents, Charles (Bus) & Grace Wolford of Dry Fork, his sister Barbie Brown & husband John of Dry Fork, his sister Tammy Elza and husband Jeff of Harman, his brother Doug Wolford & wife Melodee of Coalton and his father/mother-in-law Mike & Marty Stroble.­­­­­­­­­­­­ He also leaves his nieces and nephews: Candace Elza, Ashley Wolford, Kevin Brown and financee Jess Johnson, Kaden Brown, Josh Brown, Casey Elza, DJ Wolford, Josh Hedrick & wife Heather and Clarissa Hedrick. Sister- in-law, LeighAnn (Andrew) Bailey and children, Avery and Rowan, Brother-in-laws, Joe Cheuvront and wife Katie Rollins and son Reid, and Mike (Lucie) Stroble and son Ryan, Father-in-law, Tom Cheuvront, grandmother-in-laws, Hylas (Nan) Burdette and Helen Cheuvront. There are several surviving aunts, uncles and cousins. Steve was predeceased by his grandparents Charlie & Zettie Wolford, his grandparents Johnie & Goldie Varner, Helen Cheuvront and a great niece, Maddie Hedrick. Steve will be greatly missed by family and many friends. His soul was so beautiful. He could always put a smile on your face and would help anyone in need. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis, WV. Viewing hours will be on Wednesday, 1/13/2016, from 5PM – 8PM at the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, 1/14/2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Ric Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow at the Bonner Cemetery.
