Stephen Nally

Stephen Bernard Nally, 69, of Oakland, died on Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home.  Born on January 29, 1948 in Oakland, he was the son of the late Bernard S. and Irene "Tootie" (Shepherd) Nally.  Stephen was a carpenter by trade but enjoyed many other business opportunities throughout his life. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and cheering for them on a Sunday afternoon was common place in his home. He was an avid outdoorsman and raised his sons to follow in his footsteps. Stephen taught his sons the craft of ethical hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed spending time with friends trading stories and valued his friendships in the highest regard.  Stephen is survived by his sons, Bryan S. Nally and wife Jessica of Manassas and Michael J. Nally and wife Tina of Bluemont; five grandchildren, Madison, Jordan, Ava, Lauren and Trevor; two great grandchildren, Molly & Maggie; a sister, Bonnie Betancourt;  and his companion, Judi Ann Paugh.  Family and friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21N 2nd St., Oakland, MD, Friday, November 3, 2017 from 12 PM to 1 PM at which time a funeral will be held with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating.  Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.  Condolences for the family may be left at www.csfredlockfh.com
