Stanley “Clark” Skiles, 79, of Oakland died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on September 26, 1939, in Bellefonte, PA, he was the son of the late Wallace G. and Margaret R. (Bailey) Skiles. He was a member of the Crellin United Brethren in Christ Church and had been a dragline operator, working for a number of companies, prior to his retirement. In addition to spending time with his family, Clark enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Peggy J. (Heller) Skiles; his children, Stan Skiles and wife Tammy, Greg Skiles and wife Tina, Tim Skiles and wife Roberta and DeAnn Haines and husband Dave; grandchildren, Melinda, Jeremy, Erin, Kari and Bailey; and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carrie Skiles and a brother, Wayne Skiles. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, November 29, 2018, from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Crellin United Brethren in Christ Church, 65 Otterbein St., Crellin on Friday, November 30, 2018, at 11 AM with Pastor Ed Calhoun officiating. Private interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Clearfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad, Crellin United Brethren in Christ Church or the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department.
