Hello family and friends, My obituary has been prewritten by my own hand before my life extinguished.
I was a lifetime resident of THOMAS, WVa.
Hark, I was college educated learning professional engineering and design and draftings. I worked for QUAIL RIDGE CONSTRUCTION-3 years for MT. STORM POWER STATION and 10 years for VIRGINIA POWER.
I developed MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS at age 26.
I have been a resident of CORTLAND ACRES since August 15, 2000, where I served as resident council president for numerous years. I so loved the outdoors and football, especially quarterback. My greatest enjoyments were fly fishing and fly tying and storytelling. I served as an honorary firefighter and V.P. for THOMAS VOL. FIRE DEPT.. I was a 4th-degree knight in THOMAS COUNCIL 2010.
I leave you with this quote:
“Never curse the darkness, just light another candle”
Stanley J. Sedmock, Jr.
At the request of Champ, he was cremated. We will be planning a Celebration of Life for him after the precautions of Covid-19 have been lifted. We encourage our communities to support one another through leaving memories and condolences at www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
