Shirley Sue Fajardo, 73 , born in Erwin, West Virginia, passed away on January 11, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, after a brief battle with illness.
She was the beloved daughter of Violet Pearl Cummings and James Ray Cummings, and the beloved sibling to seven others.
Shirley was the devoted wife of Maximo Fernando Fajardo, and the most loving mother to her two children, Shelly Sue Fajardo-Sisler and Max Fernando Fajardo. She was cherished by her four grandchildren, Miguel Taylor, Harley Sisler, Kendrick Fajardo, and Kingsley Hernandez, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Alice and Jackson Taylor.
Throughout her life, Shirley devoted herself to God and her family. Her unwavering faith and selfless love were the cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy in giving to others, spending time with her grandchildren, making sure they always had food and snacks, and serving God. She loved to be outdoors, gardening, and being with her loving husband.
Shirley's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her as a beacon of love and strength. Her life was a testament to kindness, faith, and devotion. Her wish of cremation will be granted, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 5 PM (doors open at 4) at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 325 Weber Rd, Oakland, MD 21550.
