Shirley Dunithan

Shirley Lynn (Dawson) Dunithan, 62, of Elk Garden, WV died on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. Born on April 13, 1951, she was the daughter of Vivian (Pugh) Dawson of Elk Garden and the late Howard "Huck" Dawson. She was an avid walker who enjoyed her visits with all of the wonderful people she spent time with and passed by on her walks. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Melvin "Gene" Dunithan; her children, Crystal Dunithan and Shawn Simmons of Mt. Storm and Justin Dunithan and Shannon Wolf of Elk Garden; grandchildren, Skylar Simmons and Kaiden Dunithan; step grandchildren, Alexia and Madison Wolf; a very special sister, Marlene Fout and Gary Lucas of New Creek; sisters, Delores Andrews and husband Andy of Ocala, FL and Louise Burger and husband Ben of Simpsonville, SC; a special niece, Maranda (Fout) Hott; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Dawson and James "Jimmy" Dawson. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Monday, May 27th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 10 AM in the Nethken Hill United Methodist Church, Elk Garden with Rev. Leslie Hipp and Pastor Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery.
