Shirley Crush

Shirley A Crush, 88, of Oakland, MD, passed away on December 23, 2024, at Dennett Rehab Center. Born on August 30, 1936, in Davis, WV, she was the daughter of the late Melvin E. Wotring and Gay Wotring.

Shirley was well known in her community of Oakland. She held various jobs and many say she was the best seamstress around. She was employed with the Oakland Police Department for many years where she served as a meter maid. One of Shirley's most loved and talked about memories was playing drums in the Garrett Highlands Pipes and Drums.

Shirley is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Mahoney of WV, Diane Hauser Moldas of FL, Annette Hauser Neumeyer of MI, Kenny Hauser and wife Cheri of OH, Mike Hauser and wife Sue of MI, Kevin Hauser and wife Barb of MI, and her stepsons, Harvey G. Crush Jr. and wife Cathy of MS, and Kevin Crush and wife Cindy of NJ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harvey G. Crush Sr.; her son, Ricky Clower; and her siblings, Jerry and Norman Wotring, Sue Townsend, and Linda Hauser.

Interment will be private.
