Sheridan Kight

Sheridan A. Kight, 79, of Oakland, MD, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on September 6, 1932 in Mt. Lake Park, he was the son of the late George A. & Edith Beatrice (Stottlemeyer) Kight. Sheridan was retired from Garrett County Roads Department. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during Korean War. He is survived by his children, Carl Kight and wife Marilyn, Karen Sweitzer and husband Steve, Babo Kight and wife Vicki, Tammy Arblaster and husband Rodney, Patrick Kight and wife Carey, Patricia Tasker and husband Jerry, Lori DelSignore and husband Jason, all of Oakland; grandchildren, Steven Kight, Audrey Friend and husband Michael, Stephanie Ritchey and husband Michael, Jamie Kight, Dylan Arblaster, Bret Kight, Rachel Miller, Patrick Kight, Joshua Kight, Ryan Tasker, Emilee Tasker, Justine DelSignore and Brittany DelSignore; great grandchildren, Kristen Kight, Abbigale Kight, Alexander Friend, Zachary Ritchey and Nicholas Ritchey; a brother, Blaine Kight and wife Katherine of Loch Lynn; also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Annetta (Likens) Kight in 2002 and a grandson, Mark Kight. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St, Oakland from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, May 24th. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25th at 10 AM with the Rev. Donald Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the King Cemetery.
