Shawn Gank

Shawn Duane Gank, 40, of Oakland died on Friday, December 4, 2015 at his home. Born on May 4, 1975 in Oakland, he was the son of Dennis Gank and wife Roxeann of Oakland and Rhonda (Duckworth) Meyer and husband Mark of Terra Alta, WV. He was a graduate of Southern High School and worked for Den Rock Excavating. He enjoyed monster trucks, putting models together and being on the water. Most of all, he loved spending time with his boys. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Joanna (Koton) Gank; three sons, Nikolas Shane Gank, Ethan Conner Gank and Thomas Bradley Upole, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Vana Rinker and husband Justin, Missy Stemple, Stephanie King, Melanie Jerdon, Nick Meyer, Eric Meyer, Mark Meyer, Jr. and Shannon Meyer; paternal grandmother, Mabel Gank; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as his special extended family, the Ours family. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, December 6th from 4 to 8 PM and on Monday, December 7th from 12 to 1 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor John Friend officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashby Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
