Savannah Rhodes

Savannah Evelyn Rhodes, 89, of Dry Fork, WV passed away September 4, 2015 at Cortland Acres. She was born July 4, 1926 in Jenningston, WV a daughter to the late Howard and Orpha Teter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Rhodes on January 31, 2010, they were married in July 1950. Also preceding her in death, 1 daughter, Violet (Gilbert) Bohon, 1 grandson, Nicholas Wade Rhodes, 1 brother, Gerald Teter, and 1 sister, Lucille Teter Fortney.

She is survived by 8 children, Lawrence (Karen) Rhodes, Debbie (Michael) Cooper, Brenda (Ronald) Wolford, Linda (Darrell) Nestor, Shirley Jean Shreve, Judith (Robert) Arbogast, Clinton (Madeline) White, and Steve (Jeanie) White, 24 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Charles Teter, and 2 sisters, Marie Schoonover, Ruth Harmon.

Mrs. Rhodes worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Harman Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed spending time with her special four legged friends, Smokey and Miley Grace.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Harman Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Harman Church of the Brethren with Rev. John Moyers officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery.
