Russell Lee Cooper, 77, of Thomas, WV passed away at Nella's Nursing Home in Elkins, WV September 9, 2012.
He was born December 25, 1935 a son of the late Anna Cooper. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha of 48 years. He was also preceded in death by 1, brother, Richard Cline, and 2 sisters Ruth Harvey and Naoma Harvey. He is survived by 1 son, Robert B. Cooper, Thomas, WV.
Mr. Cooper served his country in the US Army. He retired from the Government, where he was employed by the Bureau of Construction and Maintenance / Botanical Gardens Division of Washington D.C.
Mr. Cooper enjoyed fishing and talking, he enjoyed sharing his history knowledge of the area.
