Ruby Wotring

Ruby Gertrude Wotring, 87, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL and formerly of Aurora WV died on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Avante of Inverness in Florida. Born on August 10, 1927 in Elmira, WV, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Calvin and Iza Marie (Kendall) Lowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working jigsaw puzzles, reading and card games. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Kay Slaubaugh and husband Guy of Eglon, WV; a son, Gary Lee Wotring and wife Linda of Bruceton Mills, WV; grandchildren, Bruce Slaubaugh and wife Cathy, Crystal Moon and husband James, Patricia Hensley and husband George, Jacquelin Luckel and husband Darren, Michael Wotring and wife Tammy and Michelle Chambers and companion Justin Saylor ; thirteen great grandchildren; two step great granddaughters; numerous great great grandchildren; two brothers, Martin Lowers and Robert Lowers and wife Dora, all of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; a sister, Iza Mae Cartwright of Aurora, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Boss" Wotring, in 1993; one granddaughter, Peggy Sue Slaubaugh; six brothers; and four sisters. Friends will be received at the Aurora Community Center, Aurora, WV on Friday, February 6th from 2 to 7 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. A graveside service will be held in the Aurora Cemetery on Saturday, February 7th at 1 PM.
