Ruby Hebb

Ruby Edith Hebb, 83, of Oakland went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her home. Born on January 26, 1931 in Kingwood, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Ridenour) Jordan and Raymond Durr. Ruby was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of the Crellin United Brethren in Christ Church. She loved going to church along with cooking and playing games with her friends at Underwood South. She is survived by a sister, Geraldine Sisler; a sister-in-law, Carol Shiffy; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Hebb; two sisters, Agnes Sisler and Nellie Ford; and one brother, Ernest "Bob" Shiffy. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, April 3rd from 6 to 8 PM and at the Crellin United Brethren in Christ Church on Friday, April 4th from 12 to 1 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Ed Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crellin United Brethren in Christ Church, 65 Otterbein St., Crellin, MD 21550.
