Ruby Virginia Auvil, 78, of Frostburg, formerly of Oakland, died November 12, 2012 at home. She was born March 9, 1934 in Leadmine, WV, the daughter of the late Woodrow A. & Kathryn (Canan) Jackson. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 71, Oakland. She is survived by two sons, Terry Auvil & wife, Connie of FL and Jeff Auvil of Midlothian, MD; three sisters, Ada Green & husband Ronald of Oakland, Carol Wotring of Aurora and Betty Troshak of Oakland; special friend, Joe J. Beeman of Barton; four grandchildren, David Ratliff, Amelia Ratliff, Michelle Rodeheaver all of Oakland and Stephanie Adams of FL, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, PA, 21 N 2nd St, Oakland, MD, Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
