Roy Alva Fint, 97, of Aurora, WV passed away November 5, 2014 at his home.
He was born January 28, 1917 in Aurora, WV a son of the late Daniel Luther and Fronie Amelia Crowe Fint. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Naomi Fint in 2002. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ray and Glenn Fint, and 2 sisters, Merle Martin and Nina Bess. He is survived by 4 sons, Ralph (Wilda) Fint, Aurora, WV, Alvin (Pat) Fint, St. George, Utah, Carl (Betty) Fint, Aurora, WV, and John (Connie) Fint, Aurora, WV, 4 grandchildren, Daniel (Nikki) Fint, Darrell (Debbie) Fint, Carla (Jimmy) Minuto, and Tina (Brian) Bassir, 2 step-grandchildren, David Martin and Stephanie (Jeff) Haden, 3 great-grandchildren, Ahnna Violet and Dexter Ivan Bassir, and Marco Carl Minuto, and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Amanda Haden.
Mr. Fint worked as a farmer on his farm in Aurora. He enjoyed making homemade ice cream, raking hay, gardening, combining corn, and riding his four wheeler. He was a member of the AuroraUnitedMethodistChurch.
Friends will be received Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Aurora memorial Building. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at AuroraUnitedMethodistChurch with Rev. Cheryl George officiating. Interment will follow in the AuroraCemetery.
