Ronald Rose

Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Rose, 59, of Buckeye, WV, died on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Cortland Acres in Thomas, WV. Born on April 3, 1964, in Marlinton, WV, he was the son of the late Donald L. "Pete" and Virginia "Joyce" Jackson Rose. Ronnie was a proud graduate of Pocahontas County High School, class of 1983.

Prior to his illness, Ronnie had worked for Hanover Shoe in Marlinton and for Walmart in Lewisburg in the Lawn and Garden Center. He will be remembered as a "gentle giant" who made a friend of anyone he met.

Ronnie loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, WVU Mountaineers, WWE wresting, hunting, fishing, and his family dearly.

He is survived by his brothers, Donald L. Rose, Jr. and wife BJ of Sandstone, WV, and John A. Rose and wife Mary Ann of Oakland, MD; three nieces and a nephew, Tiffani Jackson and fiancé Steven Rodoussakis, Aaron Jackson, Lillia Rose, and Brooke Rose; several great nieces and nephews; and a sister in law, Jane Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey C. Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marlinton Opera House on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM.

Memorials, in Ronnie's memory, may be made to the Marlinton Fire-Rescue squad.
