Ronald Derwood Green, 76, of Oakland died on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Garrett Memorial Hospital in Oakland. Born on June 21, 1937 in Oakland, he was the son of the late Everett "Bud" and Fannie (Bickford) Green. He retired from Consol Coal Company, formerly Island Creek Coal, with over 30 years of service. He had a great work ethic that only came second to the devotion he had for his wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ada Marie (Jackson) Green; a daughter, Kimberly Green and fiance Doug Fitzwater; two sons, Scott Green and wife Regina and Philip Green and wife Cindi; eight grandchildren, Brant, Travis, Ashley, Brandon, Kaylee, Traci, Kristi and Michelle; five great grandchildren, Nadia, Monique, Lane, Roman and Alexandra; two sisters, Marlene Glass and husband Randall and Judy Upole and husband Ernest; two brothers, Dale Green and wife Elma and Glen Green and wife Delma; a sister-in-law, Martha Green; and numerous nieces and newphews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrius Green. Friends will be received on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the BURDOCK-FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St, Oakland, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 10 AM with Pastor Ed Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
