Ronald D. Dilley, 82, of Oakland, passed away on November 14, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on June 24, 1942, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Delmer and Arlena (Shrout) Dilley.

After graduating from Southern High School, Ron served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a coal miner for Mettiki Coal Company and he was a member of the Crellin United Methodist Church. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman; traveling all over the United States and Canada on hunting trips. He brought home many trophy bucks over the years, including from his own farm. His pride and joy of his trophies was a 10 ft brown bear from Ketchakan Island, AK. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite K. "Kitty" (Duling) Dilley; two children, Jason D. Dilley and Nicole K. Butina, both of Oakland; three grandchildren, Alexandra Rouse and husband Kyle of Denver, CO, Nicholas Butina and friend Kayleigh Tomblin of Accident, and Abigail Butina of Oakland; and four siblings, Eugene Dilley of Oakland, Gloria Roth and husband Cecil of Petersburg, Glenna Miller and husband Ralph of Oakland, and Aleta Friend and husband Donnie of Oakland.

Friends will be received on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11 AM in the Crellin Assembly of God Church 2220 Hutton Rd., Oakland, with Pastor Paul Snyder and Pastor Skip Vincent officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
